CAP Blog – Catherine’s Story – Coming Soon
About: Catherine Kelley
With a love of life, animals and movement, Catherine tries to bring this to her paintings.
Catherine believes that “Without movement there is no life – whether it’s the vibrancy of colour or a flow of expressive movement this is what I try to capture in my paintings and portraiture”.
Initially, Catherine classified herself as a pastel artist then discovered watercolour with its fluid and expressive quality. Now with a few years under her belt and the introduction of acrylic inks into her artwork she has developed a sense of freedom that enhances the pastel medium and discovered the true love of colour. With every new painting, she is inspired by the joy of creating.
Over the past 20yrs Catherine has has participated in group and solo exhibitions and won various awards and acquisitions. She also enjoys teaching and has over 10yrs experience teaching drawing and watercolour painting.
